Job Summary

A senior software quality assurance engineer will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing to meet business requirements. This may include developing test plans, creating test cases, identifying faults, review test cases, and reviewing/producing QA report. QA also monitors every phase of the software development process and ensures that the design and software adhere to company standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews and validates requirements and technical specification to create test cases and define test scope
  • Develops, reviews, and executes test plans (in-sprint testing, SIT, UAT) and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization.
  • Documents results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
  • Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing), also communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the company
  • Mentors and provides training assistance to Jr./Associate QA Engineers
  • Lead small group of QAs or manages testing efforts across 1 – 2 projects under tight deadlines

Experiences

  • At least 3+ yrs. quality assurance experience in Agile Development environments
  • Experienced with mobile applications, web application and API Testing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies
  • Minimum 2+ yrs. experience with automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and three to five years of relevant project experience is required.
  • Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to work independently with stakeholders, proactive, and self-managed
  • Familiarity with programming languages, scripting languages and SQL to allow for defect triaging and automation
  • Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and the testing life cycle
  • Good in teamwork and collaboration and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Good command of English(Speaking, Writing, Listening)
