Job Summary

The developer advocate strives to build awareness and programmes around technology platforms, tooling and development best practices within SCB TechX. Another key focus is to execute advocacy campaigns and initiatives aimed at increasing developer efficiency while being a core voice for all engineering teams.

Job Description

  • Build, support and inspire a community through proactive direct engagement, with a bias toward learning and listening and transforming community members to fans and advocates of the product portfolio we are building.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted technical peer and community advocate by generating innovative content, whether it is blog posts, videos,code examples,substantial support from our product. workshops, webinars etc. You will have tremendous freedom in this space to be creative and generative with
  • Work with Product Management, UX and Engineering to source feedback to make our products, integrations, services, and documentation better.
  • Develop workshops, lead demos, hackathons, and meet-ups to help developers understand and evaluate our product capabilities and contribute to our innovations.
  • Design and execute a plan to improve the developer experience with the products, which will include highly technical content and meetup and other events to promote the product


  • 2-5 years of experience as a Developer or IT Engineer across any relevant disciplines including cloud software development.
  • Experience speaking at technology conferences, blogging and writing technical articles.
  • Deep familiarity with modern cloud technologies, including AWS or GCP, modern agile development practices, including DevOps and related toolsets.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven experience guiding and growing a community where you were a key factor in driving measurable positive outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills as both a strong technical writer and a dynamic public speaker.
  • Potential to motivate and cultivate team.
  • Willingness to travel when called upon to work irregular hours in support of global community conferences and events.
