Job Summary

A software quality assurance engineer will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing to meet business requirements. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests both of automation and manual testing, debugging, and defining corrective actions. Reviewing system requirements and tracking quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts.)

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications to create test cases
  • Develops test script/test automation script and executes test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer conversations
  • Documents/Report results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
  • Collaborates with the development team and scrum team on daily work also communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the company
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities

Experiences

  • At least 1+ yrs. quality assurance experience in Agile Development environments
  • Experienced with mobile applications, web application and API Testing is a plus.
  • Minimum 1+ yrs. experience with automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and three to five years of relevant project experience is required.
  • Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to work independently with stakeholders, proactive, and self-managed
  • Familiarity with programming languages, scripting languages and SQL to allow for defect triaging and automation
  • Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and the testing life cycle
  • Good in teamwork and collaboration and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Good command of English (Speaking, Writing, Listening)
