UX Lead
Job Summary

As a UX Lead, you will build, develop, and empower UX teams capable of delivering the highest quality user experiences across SCB Digital Platform products. You will work closely with both management and multidisciplinary working teams including designers, product managers, product owners, developers, and engineers to define product vision, scope, and value-driven solutions. The UX Lead is directly responsible for overseeing the delivery of the product requirement’s end to end design process. Your role will enable taking concepts forward and bringing them to life while championing the value that design can bring to the customers and the business.

Job Responsibilities

Team management

  • Manage and coach design team
  • Contribute to healthy team motivation and morale, offering emotional and logistical support
  • Design and lead workshops for brainstorming, and ideation purposes
  • Contribute to, and participate in post-project reviews
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

UX strategy

  • Collaborate with product manager to complete the pre-concept for the entire project, brainstorming, and basic planning
  • Approach things systemically and are a natural at zooming out to see the big picture, then diving in to nail the important details
  • Maintain the integrity of a product across a large organization

User research

  • Develop user research plans, conduct research, analyze data/statistics, generate insights that both evaluate designs, and reveal opportunities to support the product strategy/direction, as well as solving users’ pain points
  • Communicate research results and propose practical and creative suggestions through written reports and in-person presentations
  • Recommend the right research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process ● Manage relationship with external research partners
  • Keep up with the latest User Research knowledge, technology, and best practices

UX design and usability evaluation

  • Support in the delivery of projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Co-work with product owner to generate user stories, personas, customer journeys, and flows for all service touch-points
  • Craft wireframes, interaction models, information architecture, writing guideline, and other supporting elements
  • Conduct usability tests and design evaluation

Visual design

  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity, user friendliness, and delight to complex design while align with product branding
  • Provide direction and execution towards crafting high-fidelity visual design across all stages, from concept ideation, moodboards, prototypes, to delivery for development
  • Lead the definition and creation of a flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries ● Consistently create and elevate brilliant design thinking within the wider business
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
Knowledge, Skills and Competency
  • Bachelor of Art / Bachelor of Science or higher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or human behavior related field (Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, etc.), Visual Design, Interaction Design or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience creating user interfaces, large-scale websites, or applications
  • Proficiency in user research methods i.e. qualitative and quantitative data analysis, usability testing across multiple digital platforms, A/B and multivariate testing, heuristic evaluation
  • Familiar with user-centered design methods with experiences from concepting, to ideation, and iterative prototyping
  • Experiences in team supervision, recruiting, and mentoring
  • Thirst for understanding customers and solving challenging business problems
  • Able to prioritize and adapt to changing objectives with a flexible positive attitude
  • A team player that enjoys a fast paced agile, collaborative design process
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, able to articulate and defend design decisions in Thai, and English.
  • Proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other wireframing, and prototyping tools
  • Familiar with Jira, Invision is a plus
  • Proven experiences leading on product development projects with an exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative UX design solutions For non-Thais
  • Basic conversational Thai and willingness to learn the language
