Developer Advocate
Job Summary

Developer Advocate is a person who builds a critical mass of support for a given technology. Developer Advocate will often work an external responsible for strengthening and grow our developer network, engagement, writes docs, build tools and sample code and work on events. Must have experience in Software Development. Love to talk to other people. The role requires ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, and must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time.

Job Responsibilities
  • Gain industry recognition and credibility as a regular attendee, panelist and speaker at SCB TechX and third-party developer conferences, meetups, and hackathons.
  • Create compelling tutorials, white papers and blog posts that are accurate, nuanced, authentic, direct, and kind written communications.
  • Develop and present compelling demos, sample projects, and recorded videos to help drive awareness and adoption of SCB TechX product. You will have tremendous freedom in this space to be creative and generative with substantial support from our product.
  • Identify opportunities for partner collaboration and customer leads.
  • Maintain a strong and credible presence in developer communities and social media channels to be reachable by developers everywhere.
  • Have a strong vision for where the industry is going, and stay on top of new technologies, stacks, build proof-of-concept prototypes to try out new ideas or stitch together end-to-end solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Competency
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Developer or Engineer across any relevant disciplines including cloud software development.
  • Experience speaking at technology conferences, blogging and writing technical articles and contributing to popular open-source projects.
  • Proven experience guiding and growing a community where you were a key factor in driving measurable positive outcomes.
  • Deep familiarity with modern cloud technologies, including AWS or GCP, modern agile development practices, including DevOps and related toolsets.
  • Superior oral and written communications skills for content creation and public speaking.
  • Potential to motivate and cultivate team.
  • Willingness to travel when called upon to work irregular hours in support of global community conferences and events.
